MAP Continues Improvement And Contribution To Indonesia’S Local Development
Jakarta, 23 May 2017 – PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk, the leading lifestyle retailer in Indonesia today organized a Public Expose and announced its financial results for full year 2016 and first quarter 2017.
Net revenue of full year 2016 increased 10% to Rp 14.1 trillion while operating profit increased 70% to Rp 888 billion. Net profit was Rp 208 billion compared to Rp 30 billion in 2015.
For the first quarter of 2017, net revenue increased 14.2% to Rp 3.6 trillion – up from the Rp 3.2 trillion posted during the corresponding period in 2016. Operating profit was Rp 183 billion while net profit surged to Rp 59 billion compared to Rp 15 billion in the first quarter of 2016. Going forward, with the completion of our Transformational Agenda 2014-2016 in inventory management, operational efficiency and prudent cash flow, we are cautiously optimistic about fiscal year 2017. Another initiative that recently launched was MAP Retail School. Through a special tie up with Pusat Pengembangan dan Pemberdayaan Pendidikan dan Tenaga Pendidikan Bisnis dan Pariwisata (P4TK BisPar), MAP will conduct courses in modern retail with the aim of creating a pool of world class retail talents to further improve standard of retail industry in Indonesia.
