Impact, Creation, Empowerment: MAP Supports the Emergence of a Golden Generation Through Inclusion Programs and Community Development

Bali, Indonesia – February 25, 2025 – PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP), the leading lifestyle retailer in Indonesia, has partnered with the Ministry of Social Affairs to support human resource development and the empowerment of vulnerable communities in Indonesia. This initiative reflects MAP’s belief that sustainable business growth must go hand in hand with the advancement of human potential.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Saifulah Yusuf, The Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia; Mrs. Mira Riyati Kurniasih, Director-General of Social Empowerment; Mr. Handaka Santosa, Director of MAP Group; Ms. Marina Naomi Permatasari, Head of MAP Retail Academy and People Experiences and all officials of the Ministry of Social Affairs. The collaboration between MAP Group and the Ministry of Social Affairs marks a significant step towards fostering inclusive society and providing equal opportunities to every person across the nation.

Empowering Resources Through Inclusivity

Specifically, the fourth Asta Cita which emphasizes the strengthening of human capital development, including the empowerment of persons with disabilities.

Empowering Women and Vulnerable Communities
Sustainable economic growth begins with the self-reliance of individuals and families in creating and sustaining their livelihoods. This initiative aims to open opportunities for women and vulnerable groups to create and showcase products that reflect creativity and local wisdom. The signing was accompanied by a visit to Alun-Alun Indonesia, one of MAP’s stores dedicated to promoting local products. The Minister of Social Affairs, was represented by Mrs. Fatma Saifullah Yusuf. During the visit, she witnessed firsthand how products are carefully curated and attractively displayed, enhancing the value of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) products.
